SAFETY
Deep South Environmental is committed to the safety and well being of our employees, clients, and subcontractors. With safety as part of our “core-values”, we strive for a healthy and productive work environment free from incidents and injuries. Each year we look to improve our safety record until we reach our goal of ZERO accidents. To do this, we will continue to promote safety awareness and incorporate other safety management tools that will help us achieve our goals and support our vision. Training is key to making this happen. All DSCES employees are 40 hour HAZWOPER trained and continues health and safety training throughout the year. All projects have a daily “tail-gate” meeting prior to the start of each shift to review potential safety concerns and allow everyone to get focused on SAFETY.
Having a good safety record is a condition of our Company’s survival. But more importantly, we recognize that we work in a dangerous business. Without the proper training and controls, our employees could be exposed to a variety of chemical, biological, or radioactive hazards. On any given day we have several vehicles and heavy equipment engaged in our daily work. An accident can happen in the ““blink-of-an-eye” that could result in tragic loss of an employee’s life or company property. We recognize the severity and consequences of not having a proactive safety program and are committed to this from the very highest levels of management.
ADMINISTRATION and LOGISTIC SUPPORT
Deep South Environmental’s administrations and logistic support group works in coordination with all other operational groups by supplying vital logistics and project documentation / accounting services. Capable of performing these functions in the field or off-site, the group is staffed by experienced personnel who understand the requirements of continually maintaining the flow of information to all involved parties, and maintaining logistic support functions through project completion. Some of the services this group provides are: daily cost accounting, resource tracking and timekeeping, photographic survey acquisition and analysis, daily field reports, incident action plans and final reports, worldwide logistic support, field operation unit supply and material usage accountability, and an integrated communications network.
